Belize City – BZE
We didn’t actually spend much time in Belize City, but we did spend our last night at a hotel near the airport, which we really enjoyed, and I wanted to pass on my recommendations in case you find yourself doing something similar the night you arrive, or the night before you leave.
We stayed at the Best Western Biltmore Plaza, which is about 15 minutes from the airport. The hotel was great — clean, all the standard amenities, and a decent restaurant/bar on-site (which will come in handy if you don’t have a car). However, the BEST thing about the Best Western was that they had a FANTASTIC lebanese restaurant across the street. The Sahara Grill offers up excellent food, with hearty portions, for an extremely reasonable price. Seriously, those were the best chicken kabobs I’ve had in my life. If you like greek/mediterranean food, you will love this place.
Also, right across the street from the Best Western, is Seashelz Spa and Salon, where you can get a massage or mani/pedi for less than the spa in the hotel. Pro tip. 
I booked right through facebook and had a great massage.
